Eligibility: To be eligible, you must;
- be first-year students.
- have an F-1 visa status.
- have adequate funding to meet their expenses.
Application Process: Interested students can apply for admission via the university portal or through the Common Application portal. All international students will be considered automatically.
International Students
International students may be admitted to Barry University if they meet the University's admission requirements.
You may be eligible for a merit-based scholarship. These renewable scholarships are available to first-year and transfer students on a competitive basis. Scholarships are not available once students have matriculated at the University. Barry University does not offer need-based financial assistance to international students (students without United States citizenship or permanent residency).
Please note: All international students entering Barry in F-1 visa status must have adequate funding to meet their expenses (this includes personal, travel, and vacation, as well as university-related expenses).
Merit-based Scholarships
When you apply to Barry University, you are automatically considered for one of these 5 scholarships based on academic merit – no special forms are required. Upon acceptance, the Admissions office will let you know how much you’re qualified to receive. Barry scholarships are awarded annually to talented incoming freshmen and transfer students based on scholastic achievement, and are applied to tuition. Scholarships may be renewable providing the student maintains satisfactory academic progress and a minimum GPA of 2.0.
- Presidential Scholarship - Annual, renewable scholarship up to $19,000
- Trustee Award – Annual, renewable award up to $15,500
- Dean’s Award - Annual, renewable award up to $14,500
- Red, Black, and Silver - Annual, renewable award up to $12,500
- Achievement Award - Annual, renewable award up to $7,500
Note: Scholarships are awarded to undergraduate students enrolled in our traditional non-discounted programs; our Adult Learner Undergraduate programs do not qualify.
